Interview with nesrilaS!
First of all, could you please introduce yourself?
Sure, my name is Rasmus, but I play under the tag nesrilaS, I play the solo top position for our league of legends squad. Which was the first game, that you played?
I guess that was a SNES game, probably a Zelda or Super Metriod one. What are your favourite champions?
I really like champions such as Irelia, Wukong and Ahri, they are very strong picks and they have various playstyles and roles they can work towards. I generally like champions that have more than one path to take once you've picked them How hard it is to coordinate between school, progaming and personal life, and still to be successful in all three?
Its definitely not easy, when you're such a young team as we are you really have to dedicate a lot of time to improve, so I've tried to prioritize this as much as possible, which may have caused some slack in other areas of my life, but its all about knowing what you want in your life and then planning accordingly in my opinion. What is your favourite activity in spare time?
My sparetime is mainly used on LoL, when we are not playing as a team I often play alone and try to improve my play or widen my hero pool, but othe than that I enjoy good movies, hanging out with friends and drinking lots of beers When did you realize, that you want to become a pro gamer, or did it all happen spontaniously?
It was a gradual thing, I was mainly playing around with some friends or alone in solo queue, quickly made it to the top of the ladder, ended up befriending a lot of other good players, started playing smaller tournaments and so forth with them. From then on it just snowballed to today where im part of one of the greatest esports organizations. When you started playing LoL, what would you say to a person if he/she said to you, that in 2 years, you will be playing professionally for Na`Vi?
I wouldn't have believed it, LoL was a fairly new and unbalanced game when I started and I had never been more than a enthusiastic amateur with other dota-like games, but the game and I myself improved a lot. Yesterday, you won SK-trophy with a smashing performance. What were your expectations going into the cup?
Our expectations were mainly just to play and do our best, as of right now we still think we have a lot things to improve on and winning prizes is not the primary concern, but its nice to know that we are already one of the super powers of the european league of legends pro scene. You guys are soon leaving to France, for your first offline event under the flag of Na`Vi. Have you ever been to an offline event of such proportions, or is this your first offline event in general?
I have been to many events, but this is only my second time playing at one, the first one being the german EPS finals, where I had the pleasure of playing with SAND and meeting CitizenWayne. What are your goals for Gamers Assembly? Do you think you can keep up with yesterday’s performance or even improve?
Our primary goal with Gamers Assembly is mainly to get experience at an offline event together, secondary I think we'd all like to place in the top 3, but I believe anything is possible. Rasmus, thank you for your time! Do you have any shoutouts to your fans and sponsors? And of course, I wish you all the best in France!
Id like to thank the people that have already started following our progress as a team, watching our streams and chatting with us on IRC and on the Na`Vi forums, its really nice to have such great support already. I'd also like to thank everyone at Na`Vi and their respective partners, they are awesome guys who have been really supportive and helpful ever since we first met.
